In Consequence

It’s hard to see the big picture when your head is jammed with the problems of the moment.

But the big picture is always there even when our view of it is blocked.

The main reason to look at the ‘big picture’ is that it helps us to look at the end of things – the consequences of our actions.

Everything we do matters.

Wisdom consists of the anticipation of consequences.

Thank you for referencing. I like the photo: the contrast between the elaborate 19 century architecture, and the subject, the way we feel sometimes, many times, when we search for something new, may be out of streight boredom, of just out of curiosity – our space is perfect, but a little to familiar. An dyes indeed: Wisdom is anticipating consequences, even if a new outcome may come to life, it’s wise to learn from it. Thank you.

    • Thanks for the comment and it’s certainly true – we can’t always anticipate outcomes – life most definitely has a way of doing its own thing! Humility courtesy of life?

But maybe if we look at the end of things after we have – hopefully – learned from some – at least we won’t be too surprised. There’s a quote attributed to Albert Einstein that goes something like – “Insanity – doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

I'd really like to hear what you have to say...
